Being the Salt

I wish I lived in the middle of the sea with just you and me with just you and me

I wish I could put my toes in the sand to keep them warm on the peaceful shore

I wish I could sail across the oceans just praying in that language you have given me

 

But you know I've got a job and that is to serve my Lord

I'm here to preach the gospel

I'm here to spread the word

For lost souls who want to live for eternal

 

So I'm writing this song to let you all know that you also got a job

And that is to serve the Lord

Spread the word

Share the truth with proof

And be the salt

 

Because what is the point of life

If you're not doing the work for God

I'm here on this earth to give it purpose

No I'm here to just sit back

 

So I'm writing this song to let you all know

That we've got a job

To serve the Lord and share his word and be the salt and season this world

With the truth with proof so let's be the salt.
